I was listening to that because my older brother loved it and he's 60 today..My first ever album. My older brother got it for my 12th birthday. I loved it so much that i'd play it over and over! I swapped it for a table tennis bat about 6 months later!

BBC4 is all about Elton John tonight.
So I’m on YouTube. (No offence Elton)
My guilty pleasure. Joni Mitchell.
Christ. When you get the back story, the history behind where the songs came from, it’s even better.
Self thought, she invented her own guitar tunings to suit the chords that would go best emotionally with the lyrics, which themselves are poetry.
Sorry, whiskey kicking in.
Why do I like her. It’s the honesty and the complete baring of herself for her art.
In a top time for folk singing, she was unique. She had as much to say as Dylan but didn’t sacrifice melody for the ability to get a whole paragraph of verbosity in to say what you want to say.
in short, I like her.
