What are you listening to.................RIGHT NOW!!!

Situation was ...Dangerous, Dark,Danceable,Futurist,electro,handbaghouse,
It was Everything on the Dance floor.A fantastic release by Yazoo,

I struggle to remember the Producer but remix s came spouting out all over the place, and how many Djs nicked segments out of this track
Esp. The Alison Moyet ' laugh '...this little laugh turned up in so many other record's even hip hop dance electro, hard house ....it got everywhere.

Yazoo are one of my fav all time bands. The genuis of Vince Clarke...Situation was the b side to " only you " which reached no2 in the UK charts think, but the record company Mute/Sire? released it as a 12" " Dance track in America. The 12" us remix of situation is Legendary...and was No.1 in the US dance charts for months.

And how cool is that, for a band from Basildon.to be have a slow melodic love song top the charts in one country, and the b side absolutely smash the Dance floors of both sides of the Atlantic Ocean.

Yazoo,Vince Clarke,Alison Moyer,and the Producer Radcliffle?
I salute you.

Absolute tune that US version mate.

Brilliant post; love the enthusiasm pal.

You’re right; Vince Clark is a national treasure. I won’t say underrated cos those that know, know, but he certainly has kept quite a low media profile over the years - which is probably how he likes it tbh.
I know a lot of his music and respect it, but don’t own that much, his Wrote For Luck remix aside. I do recall really enjoying half a dozen of the tracks on his VCMG ssss project from a few years back - some very tasty sounds on that, which I would highly recommend.
