My dad was early 40's when this came out he loved it and went and nearly bankrupt the family buying what he called his VYE-DUB Combi - had it 10 years maintained it and did some work on it and turned out on the crest of a wave it was an investment as he got way more than he paid for it. There have been times where I get a tear in my eye coz even in his eighties on a nice day he stares out of the window and says "if your mam was still here I'd have a T5 camper" - the daft old bugger still has the wanderlust but I suppose its your dreams that sustain you
