Watching the Madness special on Sky Arts so reliving my youth. Used to play the "One Step Beyond" cassette on my dad's hifi using his headphones when my mum was in bed after working nights.

Tend not to be a fan of musicals with a lot of dialogue in the middle of the songs. But musical tracks that can just be listened to as songs in their own right, like this one, are right up my street.

It may not be everyone's cup of tea, and I get that. Hell, I'm not even a huge Meat Loaf fan. But very few things in life will ever inspire as much joy in me as these ten minutes. Nothing beats the original for me but this is a brilliant cover.
