What are you listening to.................RIGHT NOW!!!

'Listen' is one of their lesser known songs as well. SLF have never received the plaudits they have merited. Brilliant band and so many gems up their sleeve like you say.
I need to get to see them again very soon, I see they have a number of dates next month. I last saw them in Chesterfield maybe 4/5 years ago and they were superb...still.

I've just sent for a ticket online for the gig Manchester academy on the 24th of March. They still have limited tickets left if you're interested. I thought they were excellent last September when I saw them at Holmfirth Picturedrome. Jake Burns might look older fatter and bald but he's certainly improved on his guitar work since I last saw them sometime in the 90s and he hasn't lost his voice either. The band where tight as fuck and really good sound acoustics.

As for the track Listen on Now Then album I've played a few tracks off it which I haven't heard for several years. Some really good tracks like these below. I'd forgotten just how good they were and how much I enjoyed them in my youth, especially soon after the time of album release.

A fair bit more mellow and far less pent up angst and frustration the Inflatable Material but such a good album i think.

Enjoy mate: )

Cheers for that. I did see the Academy gig listed but don't think I'll be able to make that date. Will definitely catch them some time. And yes, a group I was really into in my youth but then got into other music, other interests and to be honest pretty much forgot about them for some time. It was only really within the last 5/6 years or so that I started listening again and as you say, easy to forget just how good they were, and how versatile they were with different styles of song, but now embellished with the better musicianship that comes with experience. Top band.
