Always takes me back to 6th form college days, Nottingham my mate Malcom was big into U2...they had gone big by this time after NYD and 2 Hearts...they then had a break...and the long waited single release was this...Malcom , or Malc, as we knew him ..brought the single. On the 1st day of its release...and said to us, I'm not gonna like it just cos it's U2...it's gotta be good....
We all piled round a mates house to listen to the 7' single Pride
And all of us loved it from 1st hearing... Bloody good track.
Which I think cascaded them onto a new level.

Oh to be 16 again.
