What book(s) are you reading right now? What's good? Or bad?
===
My recent reads:
1) Piranesi - from Susanna Clarke of Johnathan Strange and Mr. Norrell fame.
As with her earlier work, this book may not appeal to some readers. I, however, enjoyed it quite a lot. If you liked J. Strange - then give this book a try;
2) Project Hail Marry - by Andrew Weir.
I very much liked Weir's, "The Martian." But maybe half way though "Hail Mary" - about an extra-solar spaceship launch to save humanity against an alien life form - well, it's become less and less plausible as the novel goes on. And, the writing sinks to an "oh, gosh" - "gee whiz" narrative, trying over-hard to avoid swearing (although an occasional swear word creeps through).
I failed to connect/empathize with the protagonist - and I failed to believe the implausible storyline.
I stopped reading this novel - not worth my time. At all.
3) Michael Connelly's Bosch novels
I read the first Bosch novel and am starting on the second. Very good reads.
