Wolf Hall by Hilary Mantel. Won the Man Booker prize this year.

600 pages and a belter so far (150 pages in). It helps to be interested in Tudor history though. Thomas Cromwell is a fascinating subject.

Discovered Colin Bateman this year. If you want something different and very funny read "Mystery Man."

As for me I'm an autobiography man. Currently giving this a second read

Our Hidden Lives - Simon Garfield - diaries of post-war Britain. Fascinating stuff.

World War II - The Autobiography - 200 first hand accounts of the conflict. Read this and you'd probably never want to go to war, ever.

Life In Victorian Britain - Michael Paterson - social history of Queen Victoria's reign. How we used to live.

I usually have two or three books on the go and dip in-and-out of each.

Factual stuff at the moment.
