I watched this this morning — it was recently uploaded. I was 8 years old at the time, and I consider Euro '88 the real beginning of my conscious football watching, when I was just starting to understand the game. I vaguely remember this match. Those days, I was recognizing some of the England players by name from computer games. It was nice to see a young Tony Adams. The Russians had a really strong team. We regarded Dasaev as a legend. But watching it now, after it became 1-1, England hit the post and made a huge mistake on a cross. It's strange to watch old matches of players you’ve idolized and see the mistakes they made back then. Also Chris Woods.. He played shite as far as i can see :)))
