Honestly, some of this is mindblowing; the 'crooked teeth' thing, especially! I have a Japanese relation, who lives here, but I had no clue and feel like asking her about some of this...

5:37 in and the narrator explains that young women are having their teeth surgically bent out of shape because men like bent teeth, it's like blaming men for shit decisions by women.
The entire premise of the video is amazement that Japan hasn't followed the wests trends of being soft arsed compliant halfwits :)

It's super interesting that the country is aging out, rapidly. In respect that they are a, relatively, closed society with young people leaving at high rates, what's going to happen to their cultural make up in 20 years?

The crooked teeth thing is true, I lived there for a couple of years and there's a lot of other odd things they find attractive. Its hard to explain without sounding offensive and giving a sweeping generalisation, but Japan has a big problem with childlike qualities being seen as attractive by men ...if you know what I mean...and crooked teeth give off a childlike appearance.
Child pornography was only banned there in 2014 if that gives you an idea of the issues.

I suppose it will look like the rest of the world, population rates are falling everywhere. Some new mandate to fuck more will happen when the shit hits the fan.
My opinion is the fewer people the better it is for the planet and the poor animals that share it with us ;-)

Yeah, it's hard to quantify moralities through Western eyes, but it's all we've got to go with.
But, at the same time, I think Japan is very much trying to find an identity, sandwiched between old and new/ East and West values. There must be a huge culture clash simmering below the surface.
I'd love to hear from a native Japanese BM'er (if we have one) on this subject. I find it really fascinating.
