What are your most watched top 5 films?

I must know every word of Deep Impact, same as Shawshank. Classic.

If I'm flicking and I find it on somewhere I sit there and join in with the 'dramatic' lines and my missus looks at me in a 'how did I end up married to that twat' kind of way.

When I was a student I shared a house with 5 others. When watching a movie, one guy kept telling us what was going to happen, one was saying the lines in synch with the actors and there was a third guy who couldn’t seem to follow what was going on so kept asking questions, “who’s that?”, “what did he say?”. We nicknamed them Before, During and After.

The rest of us gave up and just played poker, but the three were just oblivious to the surreal situation.

I've watched 300 about 300 times, never gets old.

Lock Stock & Snatch get rewatched a lot.
Black Hawk Down and Football Factory aswell.

Not the best films I've ever seen but always entertaining and fill the evening in a pinch if I'm incredibly bored.

As a kid? (0-18)

1. Toy Story
2. Toy Story 2
3. Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets - broke the VHS from overplaying it and forced my family to buy a DVD player
4. Finding Nemo - first DVD my family ever bought
5. The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers

As an adult (18+), based on my Letterboxd activity

1. Lady Bird
2. Local Hero
3. Barbie
4. Knives Out
5. Manchester By the Sea

How the hell do you watch Manchester by the sea more than once?! Brilliant movie but brutal - not sure I could handle watching it again

Kingdom of Heaven
The Director's Cut of Ridley Scott's Kingdom of Heaven (2005) is far superior to the earlier Theatrical Cut release, adding an extra 45 mins (basically an Eva Green sub-plot about her son which explains her character and motivations) otherwise half way through the original film, she turns into a wailing banshee with no further exposition, although its still a smouldering smokey eyed Eva Green.

The Directors Cut essentially turning a 5/10 middling mess of a film into an 8/10 Ridley Scott epic.
