What are your unpopular opinions on City that you believe 100%?

The club care very little about the atmosphere at the stadium

The statues are a bit shit

Most 'manger' talk for a decade is severely twisted to suit poster's stubborn previous dispositions.

Other fans would bloody love this thread! Still, quite cathartic, so here I go:

We do have empty seats even when we're sold out. I don't know how that happens, but other clubs seem to have found an answer to it, so why can't we?

Blue Moon being a funerial dirge, especially given that we only sing the one bit of it over again until it peters out, doesn't seem to be that unpopular an opinion, but I'll state it again.

Away fans always have loads of songs. Somehow at the Etihad we sing the same ones again and again. Another club quite close to Manchester seems to do a lot better in this regard.

Alex Ferguson was the greatest manager in football history.

People deliberately/accidentally misspelling UEFA and EUFA tells me a lot about where it's coming from.

If we don't win, I do give a fuck, regardless of whether or not I'm all pissed up.

Singing songs about United when we're not playing them makes us look small/bitter. On a similar vein, it always made me sad that of the three most popular songs about Aguero, two of them were basically taking the piss out of United and the other was just singing his first name a lot. He deserved a lot more.

I'd rather win the Champions League than another 3 Premier Leagues.

And breathe....
Well if thats true Utd are also small and bitter as they constantly sing about City. Maybe its just football rivalry? You may well be a City fan, but I have always found it so stupid by rags that whatever we do towards them its bitter. If you point out they do the same things they say its because were a rival. Wankers.

The booing of the Champions League anthem became boring a long time ago and our supporters have taken some of the shine off European nights for some of the greatest players who will ever play for us.

I suspect that some of the supporters who still boo it are uncomfortable supporting a successful club and were happier going to watch shit every week as long as they could tell reds in the pub that “At least I go to the matches.”

The only time over the last three managers that I watched City wondering what the fuck the tactical plan was, was the three Pellegrini seasons. I think I worked it out eventually – give the ball to Silva, Yaya or Aguero and hope they pull something out of the bag.

We threw the title away in 2012 before United threw it back to us.

This season’s white away kit has as much in common with our traditions as the orange and purple, pina colada and ghost green kits – fuck all.

He doesn’t have contempt for any game whether it be man United or Swindon he will always want to win that game and pick a side to do so. for you to say so suggests to me you don’t know how pep operates.

United just where set up perfectly to beat us and got the rub of the green in some games but our record at old Trafford under pep is fantastic. Obviously it is possible for us to lose games even if we are taking those games seriously.

I think you may have misunderstood my point, or I didn't explain it well enough.

I was replying to a continuation of comments regarding fans who dislike Pep and a reason raised being those who still treat the derby as the biggest game of the season.

Of course Pep wants to win every game and picks a side he believes has the capability to do that, however we know other factors come into play like the Champions League latter stages; the FA Cup and League games v Chelsea last season are evidence of this.

Pep currently treats United the same as he does Palace who in recent years have set up well and with the rub of the green have beat us. He does not treat United games like he does Liverpool (or Chelsea when he deemed them a threat) and for some fans they see that as contempt for the derby and 'not getting City'.

Pellegrini was an absolute disaster of a manager.

3 seasons of 4-4-2

Lucked out a league title due to a (hilarious) slip.

Almost cost us CL football in his last season with West Ham doing us a massive favor beating United 2nd to last game so we could finish above them on GD.

Constantly rushed back Aguero and Kompany from injuries which cost them dearly further down the line, because he couldn't get the required results with his own signngs.
Talking out of your arse. Nobody lucks a league title. We played some absolutely sublime stuff under his tenure. 154 goals in all comps 2014. League cup winners that season too. The 3-0 away win at old Trafford was one of several demolishings we dished out under him.
