What are your Wembley plans?

Be warned if driving south - the M5 contraflow road works from J1 to between J2 and J3 have started, repairing the waterproof layer on the stilt sections with a 30 mph speed limit in force . As a result the M6 from J8 to J4 will be busier than usual and is lightly to be disrupted.
If driving down to London on the M40 DO NOT take the M5 to get to it. Keep a check on the M6 traffic flow and take the M6 toll road to the M42 if there is a Jam.
You have been warned - oh and it will bugger up the Midlands motorway network for the next TWO years....

About half 4 from East Lothian, first flight down to Heathrow and last flight back on Sunday night

That's the way to do it, bit of an early start but no hassle driving and at least you get to sleep in your own bed Sunday night, i looked at flights to Heathrow from Manchester but for 2 bit costly over petrol.

It's also London Marathon day so car parks on the Underground / Overground extremities are likely to be full!

9:30am from Hayfield. Park up at Stanmore, then tube to Wembley Park. Back to the car then up to Hitchin for an overnight. My mate told me last night that the pub we usually go in there is holding a beer festival over the weekend!

6 am from Stretford to be in Weatherspoons harrow for 10 full English and beer perfect start to a long day
