What did the fans sound like on the TV last night?

The Palace fans were fantastic i thought and sang throughout the game.We on the other hand were very flat for long periods.I'm suprised it came out loud on the tv it wasn't until we scored that we started to sing properly.Even then it was only one song belted out and then it died on the second rendition.

Just wish the 'munich' Tevez song would be re-written.And yes,we did sing for Mr Dunne.

That's a pretty fair summary, though most of the Palace noise appeared to be coming from the bottom-left hand corner of the stand to our left (their main stand?), as the stand opposite and to our right were fairly quiet. That group was pretty impressive, and kept going after our second. We did seem to get warmed up a bit in the second half, but as you say, it was a bit sporadic. The Dunnie song was a nice touch, I thought.

Thanks to the guy with the 'Welcome 32 Manchester' away shirt in front of me for the hug when SWP scored.

Lets face it, half the Palace crowd were London Rags who turned up to BOO City, jeer Carlos, and wait for us to do a Brighton.

Palace actually have a good young team, if their supporters could be bothered to turn up on a regular basis and actually encourage them they might have a chance of reasonable success and not be stoney broke and unable to buy any players.

I quite like Neil Warnock, I feel sorry for him having to go that far down the football food chain.

2-0 in your Cup Final, still at least you were able to watch some GREAT footballers at affordable prices

Palace fan in peace. I really hope more of your fans don't take this kind of attitude now you've got a few £££. I've always had a soft spot for Man City as their support was great when they dropped down the leagues recently and I was hoping that you may be a breath of fresh air to the top 4, not just another smug, patronizing addition. City have been through hard times too and many would argue it's clubs like City who are now making it soo hard for clubs like Palace further down the 'football food chain'. Personally I like that fact that we are still a real club, with real problems, secretly I bet many of you miss this in a funny way too.

With regards to last night, I thought your support was poor but hey, you were quite far away from us and the Arthur Wait's low roof does tend to contain noise which is why its sounds great in there (also your correct in that the Sky microphones are located here). I thought our fans we good and took the game for what it was, supporting the team to the final whistle.

It was absolutely fantastic to see your first team down at Selhurst and we may never see something like that again given our current financial circumstance. The squad we have cost around £2 million total so to see them compete for 45mins was fantastic....back to reality now, Peterborough away on Monday :)

Wish you the best of luck for the rest of the year!

To be honest the only thing that let us down was the few who ran on the pitch to grab shauny boy, especially after the west ham v millwall game
do not think you can compare the two

Read my post again and show me where i compared the 2 sets of fans!!!

I said running on the pitch was daft after all the trouble they had at Upton Park. Not once did i say our fans were just like the fans at Upton Park did i???

No thought not!

I thought the City fans were really good. The Palace fans just sat there, being out-classed, in awe.

Not in a million years were we (Palace) out classed, nor did we sit there in awe. Nothing about your performance was awe inspiring, and your fans were sh*t. that's the god's honest truth. You only sang when you scored. We outsang you throughout the match. The only reason it may have sounded different on Tv was because your fans were sitauted in the arthur wait stand which is right underneath the sky microphones. Your support was as the chant went last night was "f*cking sh*t".

Now to the rest of the city fans who disagree with this mug, i come in peace.

The Palace fans were loud and singing all game, that came across from the TV.

Admittedly they were singing the most embarrassing set of songs "shall we sing a song for you" and general shite like that but they were loud.

As someone else said they came to abuse City rather than support Palace and that came through in their chants. Sad really.

We came to support our boys squire, though i admit some abuse was aimed at your lot. ooooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaah reeeejects.
