What Did You Really Think Of Camp Nou?

Gay Meadow was more fun.
Was that before or after the match Doots? If I recall correctly I was more upset when we lost there!!!
Both mate, from start to finish,€100 for that shite hole that is supposed to be equipped for regular showcase footy?
I'm not old fashioned, honest but give me £10 entrance on the turnstile in Blighty over that all day long.

Very disappointed, Poor view - hated the mesh curtain.

Absolutely nothing to look at from outside. Couldn't find one viewpoint worthy of a photo.

No roof, so all noise escapes.

Here's my view of the curtain obstruction that, quite frankly, ruined the experience for me.

A couple more views of the curtain

Couldn't get tickets for my wife and kids with me in the City section, so they went in the Barcelona end. Here's their view

In their section, many supporters were drinking alcohol and smoking in their seats. Plenty City fans in there, who'd worn their City shirts into the ground, no problem and celebrated City's goal with the Poznan.

Think I'll go in the home section for future foreign matches.

It wasn't the netting I had a problem with,it was the posts.all the action seemed to be inline with the posts.
Hi mac, been to the shit hole in the friendly so I new the score but iv got to mention your services that I used between gerona n barca were superb mate , cheap friendly organised and quick compared to other alternatives and closer drop off and pick up thanks to u and Linda and citizen travel

Thinking of the crap view we had with the netting, posts and being a mile away from the pitch, jus think people paid more to have views like this (took them on the stadium tour the day before the game).

… and they must have to offer these seats cheeper as restricted view.

It really was a dump.

Just reading the Liverpool thread and remembering the events there and in Belgium I'm a little bit surprised (not) that it gets a safety certificate.

Without doubt one of the worst grounds I've been in for years.

Bit underwhelmed TBH.

Externally it's nothing special.

Getting in to the stadium was a nightmare.(that's worth a thread on it's own)

The catering facilities were very poor by our standards.

The view from the away fans section, high up, and behind the netting and poles, was poor.

The atmosphere was pretty much non-existent. Poor home support, away fans spread out across the top tier, no roof, etc.

TBF, internally the Camp Nou did look impressive. Colosseum like. With huge tiers sweeping around the stadium.

Internally the Nou Camp looks impressive, but other than that it's over hyped as a stadium in my opinion.(regardless of it's history)

Feel free. :-)

I think you have summed it up to a tee. They should be flogged for charging us £72 and not give us a blanket and binoculars, still refs have to be paid.
