I often wonder, what is the point of these diseases, what role in nature do they play other than usually death. Why dont we just go....in a flash of light or a puff of smoke, never to be seen again, no pain, no mither, no inconvenience, no cost, one minute we're here, next minute we're not, easy.....

I suppose its natures way of survival of the fittest and keeping the numbers down, however, we have become so intelligent that instead of dying we now survive (mainly). I have 2 auto immune diseases, if I was a "caveman" I would not survive.
