A labourer I once met could do the Times cryptic crossword in no time. I asked him surely there must be something more than filling skips that your good at he replied "Yes crosswords but they don't pay you for that"

We were doing a quiz at work and one of the questions was 'what day is armistice day commemorated on?' the answer came back 'July the 4'!!!!!
What the fuck are they teaching in schools now a days?
I have 2 questions, is education getting worst and has anyone else got some daft answers to questions they've heard

Not to mention the lack of a uppercase T on "the", immediately after his first sentence. Or the missing "th" after 4. And the absence of a question mark after his questions. Indeed, what do they teach them?

I know a lad who drives a taxi and regularly qualifies for The Times National Crossword Championship and appeared in the Countdown final.
