What do you collect

Some stuff does have inherent value - but it's largely top-end that few of us have hanging about. Silver and gold, of course, is always saleable, but the market goes up and down.

Cups. I started this years ago when I was a security guard at an old BT building in town, Think its the one with the underground tunnels.. anyway, place was pretty much empty but on a walk around the building I found a cup with a flag of Guernsey on it. I found it interesting but the hobby never really took off apart from the odd mug here and there. Company printed ones are my favourite. "Joe Smiths plumbing supplies merchants" or any kind of mug that advertises something on it will do, I'm slowly building a collection half heartedly. I usually steal them from workplaces, it's a victimless crime apart from the poor sod who's cup goes walkies.
Charity shops turn up the odd gem too. I have a Daily Mail England Rugby World Cup 2002(?) The one we won anyway. It was obviously never used and I'm glad it's got a home with me after it was probably cleared from a person who had died home. I had a Atlanta Olympic games 1996 mug away from work a few years ago. In great condition. Must be worth a few pence but I don't do it for the money, I just like collecting cups.

New acquisition from the Royal Mint, I bought the coin ( 2023 Queen Elizabeth II Britannia 1 oz Silver Bullion Coin) from the royal mint because there are so many forgeries in the private sale market.

Arrives Wednesday, can't wait :)
