What do you do as solace after a defeat

I remind myself I’ve been locked in the New Den for an hour after we scraped a last minute equaliser in the third division while Millwall fans battled the police outside and twenty-five years on we’ve won every trophy going, broken every record going, played some football that’s out of this world so having a less successful season is a reminder of where we came from. Plussing as which I sat in a reserved Standard Premium seat on the train home, nobody claimed it, nobody came round to make me pay an upgrade and it was twenty minutes late so I get a partial refund.

For me it's headphones on ,listen to the late great Buddy Holly and reminiscing about Dukie and Hyde in the mid sixties ably assisted by Mr Daniels or similar.
One bad season in 12 or so is manageable.

What I do,really let the result sink in, let it effect every part of my life, smash 5 pints, get home and then take it out on my nearest and dearest.

Vigorous masterbation. I'm red raw this season.

In all seriousness, i've always struggled to not let city dictate my mood. Win a big game and ill be buzzing all weekend, lose and i'll be pissed off all week. Too invested in it but I also don't really want to be less invested as it just wouldn't be the same if I didn't really give a shit.

I use this place to vent my feelings on the shitshow I've just witness, get it all out then I'll just try and completely switch off from it, stay away from anything else football related, avoid letting it spill into anything else and try and pre-occupy myself with something else.
