Overuse of the word "narrative".

I see it all the time on here and I'm starting to get obsessed with it. What's the narrative behind overuse of the word narrative when other more appropriate words can be described. Maybe the narrative is to to get the narrative to change regarding the current narrative of using the word narrative.
