Aha, IP. I am afraid that does not place him above criticism. He will be judged, not on what he has forgotten, not on what he has remembered, but by how many we hammer past the Potters. It's results and nothing but results.

Without trawling through the 6 pages, and at the high risk of repeating what others may have said, it is a very good appointment. Kiddo is supposed to be an excellent coach, so that can only be a plus. Also, he'll be up to speed on the premiership (something which I doubt Mancini can be yet), so Kidd will be able to advise on the strengths and weaknesses of future opponents. Just don't let him manage as, judging by his time at Blackburn, he couldn't manage a piss up in a brewery!
