what happened at HT near blocks 110/111 ?

Do you actually get kicked out for smoking in the uncovered gated bit at the toilets near 109/110/111? Trigger?

I have a fag there every game and nobody has ever said anything to me, perhaps because it is pretty much open air?

Maybe they don't kick me out because they fear me due to my big "I AM DAMOCLES, I WILL BAN YOU!" badge?

should do and depending on their mood take your st for 3 games. But as you say, you used to be able to issue bans ;).
 
I also carry a sword, in case people don't recognise me. Maybe that helps.

Seriously though, I can't believe that, I've actually stood there smoking whilst talking to stewards who have just kicked people out of the main toilet building.

Stupid as it sounds yes you could be as the whole of sportscity is meant to be a none smoking area. Imagine the carnage if they started enforcing that!!!
 
Should put them all up in the gods by the time they get up there they will not want a fag and also charge them extra for the cleaning up after them

And not all smokers, i'm a smoker but I like the ban and the fact I can go to footy, pubs, resturaunts etc and not be engulfed in somke when you walk in, if I want a ciggy i'll go outside. I don't even smoke in my own house, i'll pop out the back door, so a bit of common sense & respect for others is all that is needed........is that too much to ask

It started early last night.I was on the way into Colin Bell stand at 7.45 and a guy was being thrown out for smoking,he'd been caught on the spiral.
the stewards manned the spirals all night .

And me, it's exactly why I don't go near the place.

The only real way to stop it is to install smoke alarms in the toilets with the warning that if they smoke the alarms will go off and the whole stadium will get evacuated and the match abandoned.

Fucking stupid, if smokers cant have a cig at football where can they ? seems they can only go for a cig in an isolated mountaintop shack labelled cancer hut. I don't smoke myself but I really couldn't care less if people want to have a fag. City should really allow people to smoke on the spiral concourses, they are open air and non smokers have no reason to go there if they don't want to during the match.
 
i was in this toilet n 90% of the people in there were smokin and the stewards came in and dragged one lad out. you wouldnt mind if he took every1 out n not the smallest lad there. n the thing with the police reminded me a bit of when we was at stoke, except we didnt get attacked wit batons. n the black copper was dyin to laugh at the songs we was singin :)
 
Smokers are selfish in general. And I have all the respect and sympathy that they showed to non-smokers in times gone by.

You cannot smoke in the stadium. It's that simple, if you can't handle that fact, or like to show what a big rebel you are by flouting the law.....then don't cry when you get thrown out.....your choice.

Just a mention for a good firend of me and the missus.....he has been told the lung cancer he has will mean he won't see the summer out. He has never smoked in his life...... But spent all his working life in the pub trade, working in previously smoke filled pubs....so if the ban means just one employee wherever, who would previously have been at such a risk doesn't have to go through what he, his wife and two children are going through......that's a result.
 
Makes me laugh how the smokers, in general, are trying to justify the guys who were using the loo's to smoke. I agree it is a nothing of an incident, and this country has gone mad, (I think people should be able to smoke in pubs etc, or at least the vault), but the simple fact is you're not allowed too. Pretty much the same way as i'm legally not allowed to go into the shop near my house, help myself to stuff without paying and then make my way home, thinking I can do what I want. Rules are rules, no matter how petty they are.

HAHA, remember the Kippax?!! I'm still waiting for my diagnosis of lung cancer due to passive smoking from spending 6 years stood on the Kippax before it became all seater! For me it all made up as part of going to the match.
