what happened at HT near blocks 110/111 ?

Smokers are selfish in general. And I have all the respect and sympathy that they showed to non-smokers in times gone by.

You cannot smoke in the stadium. It's that simple, if you can't handle that fact, or like to show what a big rebel you are by flouting the law.....then don't cry when you get thrown out.....your choice.

Just a mention for a good firend of me and the missus.....he has been told the lung cancer he has will mean he won't see the summer out. He has never smoked in his life...... But spent all his working life in the pub trade, working in previously smoke filled pubs....so if the ban means just one employee wherever, who would previously have been at such a risk doesn't have to go through what he, his wife and two children are going through......that's a result.

I agree 100%! I'm a smoker and can manage the whole match without needing a fag OR a piss (even watching the dross we have been forced to suffer recently as well)! Rules is rules and are there for the greater good. Surely smokers can manage a couple of hours without sparking up? If not, I think it's frankly pathetic and you deserve to be booted out...respect for others is virtually non-existant theses days and a harsh lesson might be just the tonic for these morons!

Anyone saying that they don't know what the fuss is about with regards to people smoking in the toilets ought to pay a visit to the bogs in 110/111 at half-time. It's a fucking joke due to the amount of people smoking in such a concentrated area - seriously I'm not exaggerating when I say it's probably at least 10 times worse than your average working men's club before the smoking ban came in. It's a nightmare for anyone wanting to go for a leak, and it's downright fucking inconsiderate. At least Damocles (proving that not all smokers are irresponsible about their habit), while admittedly flouting the regulations, has the good grace to smoke in the open air bit outside the entrance to the toilets - that way most of the smoke will disappear into fresh air. It's not the breaking of rules that bothers me too much - it's the selfish actions of all those that like to gather in that toilet and happily pollute the air to such an extent that it would make a pea-souper seem like a harmless mist that pisses me off.

Luckily, because of blocks 113,114, and 115 being open for home fans last night I was able to walk through to that area and use the toilets there - thankfully no-one was smoking and it was good to breathe in some clean air while going for a piss.

It really annoys me that these pathetic people smoke in the toilets. I go for a slash and come out stinking like Benson & Hedges.

Are people really that reliant on a nicotine fix they have to break rules to do so?

Fucking losers.

Or perhaps people could manage to go without a cig for two hours? I don't see why the Cluc should provide a place for people to smoke.

I go to the game to watch the football, have a drink and have a piss at HT, not inhale other people's smoke. It wouldn't be allowed on the concourse near the food kiosks et cetera, so why should it be allowed in the toilets?

I smoke, and I agree, the toilets are a disgrace. Its not fair on non smokers, but at the same time, if smokers can't smoke in the ground, then they should provide a section for smokers. Surely non smokers can agree with that???
A smoking shelter / pens round the ground is the answer yes that's for sure but there is no way the club would get planning permission as the whole area is actually a no smoking zone

You see, non smokers are the far more unreasonable than the smokers. Smokers would happily not smoke around non smokers if that was possible. You non smokers just whinge no matter what. I go without a tab, its not a problem for me, but it probably is a problem for some guy who's had 15 pints and doesn't give a fuck about rules. If he could go outside and light up, he wouldn't instist on having a cig coz he's got no control over himself, and it'd stop any banning, or kicking off inside the ground.

If the ***** didnt smoke there would be no problem, you cant smoke in any other public place, what makes them think its ok do to so at coms.

Well said mate, i complained tonight as it was a disgrace in the toilets near 117.

Those bogs are really bad. I smoke but I can't go in them. I end up walking round to the spirals for a piss. The easy way to stop them is to have stewards in the toilets before half-time that way perhaps they would remain non-smoking. To go in and lift someone when everyones doing it is idiotic in the extream.

hit the nail on the head

you shouldnt be smoking anywhere on sportcity at all, once inside the stewards have the power to stop you there and then, smoking shelters/zones would not work at coms

You cant smoke in the stands?? even tho you are technicial outside???

A smoking area should be made - not for the benefit of smokers - but for the benefit of everyone else who deserve to be able to use the toilets at half time without being engulfed in smoke.

True and crap at the same time, the council say that the whole of sports city is non smoking, but if i bought one of the apartments in Sports City, does that mean that they could stop me smoking in my home?
