What has been your lowest point following City?

Wembley Stadium, 2-0 down against the mighty Gillingham. Feeling totally numb and contemplating that losing could mean the end for City

Luckily that low point did not last too long !!

In addition to all the relegation games, the beatings by Bury and Stockport, having to go to Lincoln Fucking City away, Wycombe (I even volunteered to write the away day piece for the City mag because no bugger else would be arsed to go down there of a Tuesday night...haha!), York away...I experienced all of those lows.
As well as being one of the 3,007 v Mansfield in the bastard Auto Windscreens Trophy.
I remember Joe Royle bringing on 'the next big thing' Gary Mason thinking that would change the game....Jesus wept!

You really honestly cannot compare the dull dredgery that was Pearce's tenure to any of the above.
I know well that the second coming of Big Mal was a disaster and John Bond wasn't much fun, but then I was a mere 10 years old then and had really just got into watching and going to Maine Road so have few memories of that era, as well as the Luton incident.

Getting beat 6-0 by Derby at the baseball ground in the late 80s. Locked in the away end had to endure the whole 90 minutes!

Good call pal, 5 of us went down including my mates gran (70+) who was hitting a plod with her brolly at 5-0 in an attempt to get thrown out. Wouldn't swap those memories!

Going down in 1983. Just a few years earlier we'd been challenging for the title and playing in Europe.
I think for us older blues this has to be the lowest point, the fact that no one thought we would get relegated made it worse. The week before we won at Brighton 1-0, at the station blues were hugging each other thinking we had done it. Luton had lost 5-1 at home to Everton that day and we only needed a point,no problem! so we thought.
The game at Stoke was close, but it didn`t have the shock aspect of the Luton game.

relegation from the prem under big joe, back in the big time and straight back down, woz gutted watched the game on sky against ipswich a think it woz. dont know why that time but that hurt me more than goin to division 2. strange really.

Luton Town and David Pleat was a devasting night.

More recent, 0-3 to Forest is somewhere very close.

Just behind them two there is a whole fucking stack of shite as well. But when you are chosen, what can you do???

I would agree with some others. 2-0 down against Gillingham at Wembley. I turned to my mate and we both had tears in our eyes. Not bawling just tears enough to run down our cheeks. City's first goal went in and I never moved an inch. When the second went in I have never celebrated a goal so hard in my life. I still think I was the first City fan in the Trafalgar Square fountains that night. Maybe equal with a few others lol.
Losing 5-0 to the scum in about 95ish? I was drunk stupidly threw a pint at a rag and was thrown out of the bar sideways (I was meaning to miss and did) Then smashed my drawers up in my bedroom. Not very clever.
A few weeks back losing at OT listening to always look on th ebright side of life obviously aimed at us. Livid and depressed.
Living in the US and coming back to watch City vs County and getting beat.
Wet Ham in the Qtr finals watching a City team not give a shit.
Going to 5 away games in London about 8 years back seeing a bout 20 goals against and 1 goal for spent a fortune and never got a single point.
Not going to the Blackburn City game promotion (even though I had mnanaged to get a ticket in the Blackburn end) thought best to watch in pub than sit in home end. Not really a low point
Liverpool putting ten past us in a aweek around 95. plus getting chased across Stanley Park after the cup game having left a bit early by about 25 16 year olds. Thinking STANLEY do not let them catch you. I gave it Nicky Sumberbee in Bredbury Hall the weekend after.
Actually feels good writing down a few low pints to show how far we have actually come.
One funny point - Stood outside Lou Macari's chippy pretending to be a red for a few minutes and saying to whoever was in ear shot that we will have to watch out City will be a force to be reckoned with soon and with our debt will certianly take over as number club in Manchester. LOL
