Above all, it's been educative. The main forum is full of dicks who don't have a clue, but occasionally, on Off-topic, there'll be a poster who advances his reason to a degree which would make me foolish not to change my view on an issue.

I have laughed out loud, cried inside, celebrated with strangers their weddings , births and career successes. I have shared my grief and others when blues and others have passed on. I have learned a lot about a myriad of subjects and had my personal maps redrawn at times. I don't know in person a single person who posts here (or if i do i dont know i do) , but i can tell you that the vast majority of people who i see posting regularly feel like friends. For all its madness and hair trigger tempers and tantrums its where i choose to spend an awful lot of my "free time" Welcome.
