Use football as an experiment and look at the way fans have acted over the century and a half of the sport…
Football was sprung on us out of nowhere but we reverted to our natural type as a species with it. Hooliganism started almost immediately, with tales of fans going around the country to fight rival hooligans from other clubs in the late 1800s (there was even an old woman arrested for hooliganism at a Preston game in the early 1900s).
We band together, act tribally under our banners and colours, and we are veciforous in our support for our side and despise our rivals. Violence was a result for many decades and still does occur; our tribes will come together and look to enact violence on our rivals.
Not just Association Football hooliganism but also take a look at the Ashbourne Royal Shrovetide football match, and rugby too, and see how naturally everyone involved acts.
Take that to different areas of life: political ideologies, religions, nations, races… it’s a natural thing for us to do as a species. Given the platform for it, we will always revert to type. We are a warring animal. We want to beat/kill our rivals and take what they’ve got. It is within us genetically.
There were once numerous species of humans dotted about Africa, Europe and Asia, yet there’s only us left. There have been Neanderthal skeletons found in Europe and Asia with fatal injuries and it’s no surprise to me that we are the only homo species left. We are a social animal and we will have banded together to outcompete and kill our competitors and see our branch of the species succeed. Since there’s oniy Sapiens left, we naturally look to do the same thing to our competitors now - which is other Sapiens.
If Islam enacted it’s core goal of taking over the entire world and forcefully converted everyone to Islam and killed everyone who refused; there would be splinter groups who go their own way, there’d be no harmony and there’d be wars amongst itself eventually.
If Communism - which has the same goal - did the same, the result would be exactly the same.
Even if the airy-fairy utopian dreamers of this world got everyone to hold hands and leave a tranquil life under their flowery delusions of peace, it wouldn’t take long for a group of people somewhere to want to disrupt that and take things for themselves and kill off those who oppose them.
At any level we are no different to ants or plants. We are here to outcompete our rivals.
