What has happened to our leaky defence?

Not losing the ball in midfield, Toure may not be a ball winner but he also doesn't often give away possession in that pivot role, makes us harder to press..

A combination of some poor attacking teams (Boro, Sunderland etc) a rejuvenated John Stones, better ball retention and Willy in nets.
There are only 3 teams with a better defensive record than City. Perhaps the lack of goals, especially given the emphasis on attacking, is more important.

We're painted as a team that can't defend. I think it's more truthful to say that we are a team that always attacks, but doesn't score as much as we should. Given the emphasis on attack, there doesn't seem much wrong with the defence to me. We're more gung-ho than we have ever been, but at least we're not conceding more goals. Add Jesus into the mix, I think we are a lot closer thane many people think

If you took Chelsea's best player out of their team (and put them in the Champions League) where would they be?

He does not give the ball away very much. Very true. But he doesn't provide any cover for our defence. Good in the air for set-pieces, but on balance I would not play him. I'd much rather play Sagna, or Zabaleta, or Clichy at full back, and have Fernandinho in midfield.

Neither is perfect, but since Fernabndinho came back from suspension he seems to be misplacing quite a few passes.
