That's what annoys me because as we saw when Tevez came on we absolutely dominated them to the point they were slicing clearances just to get them away.

Sometimes in football you play a better team and you have to hold your hands up but yesterday that simply was not the case, they looked average and had the worst defence I have seen in a united team for years.

The danger this year is they have a get out of jail free card in RVP so it's papering over the cracks for them.

Mancini has to take responsibility for the defeat I was gobsmacked when I saw Balotelli on the team sheet as it gave them the initiative and effectively a two goal lead. Once he had figured out his error he changed it and they were hanging on for dear life but in true rag style they got lucky with a deflected freekick.

Poor team selection cost us and this is the first time I've ever questioned Mancini as a manager but his decision yesterday was baffling and unacceptable.

Mancini and his obsession with Balotelli might just cost him his job. Hope I am wrong but the faith he has put in this player to the detriment of the team was again evident last night.

Let just pray we get a decent offer for him in January and move him on.

Sadly I couldn't agree more Balotelli hasn't done anything for me since he arrived, I actually struggle to think of a game where I'd say he was man of the match.

Mancini and his tactics/selections are the main reason we are wasting so many first halves.

We play well only after he makes some subs (correcting his own mistakes in selection) or we start play with some tempo desire mainly only in second halves of the game.

It's unacceptable that we didnt even had a shot between their second goal (30th minute) and about the 53. minute. 20-25 minutes empty game for us. Also the 10 minutes blackout when we coneded two in first half.

And no we are not a better team. Our balance is not better. Our discipline is not better. Our form is not better. Correct these things and we will be better team as our squad is lot better. But if player like Valencia/Cleverley can play with discipline helping out where they need to while Nasri/Silva/Yaya think its not that important...
Young was on Balotelli in the first half also tried to block Zabba's runs...

If Silva just does the same with Rafael there is no cross from him for Rooney.

Sense? On this forum? Get out Sir. Get out now...

Got to agree.

Bobby's selection effectively gave them a two goal lead. Evra said they were delighted to hear Tevez wasn't starting.

We were unlucky not to be leading when we went into the last few minutes and they were holding on.

Don't agree with this at all. Balotelli wasn't that bad, and Mancini picked him understandably (given the way the ball kept coming straight back at us against other decent teams - Arsenal, Dortmund, Madrid) because he has the best first touch of any City player with his back to goal, plus the rags are a big side from set pieces, with Valencia, Smalling, Evans, Camelgob, Carrick, Wellbeck and Van Persie, who all featured yesterday at some point, standing 6ft 2' or taller.
