What is it that's missing

We are very complacent this season, just like we were after we won the title under Mancini. The players seem to pay no respect to the opposition if they are so called lesser sides. The killer instinct is missing, great sides rarely got outfought , this is happening too often to us at the minute.
 
The only thing missing is a lack of perspective from some of our fans. It's October folks. If we were in April I could understand some of the comments on here. Nothing has changed the title will be won by us or Chelsea.
 
I'd really like to see the ball moved out quicker from defence as this seems to have a major influence on the tempo we play at.

Demi did a great job the latter half of last season in finder a player nearer the halfway line with his first pass. There seems to be a preference to play shorter balls (triangles and passing between the back four) at present, which slows our game down drastically and keeps the ball in our own half for far too long. Opposition defences have too much time to get organised and keep shape when we play this way.
 
I was a bit concerned with Pellegrini's post match interview when he didn't seem to know what it was that was missing. From my observations we are definitely missing going out with a high tempo. We are too lethargic which allows teams to get players behind the ball. Confidence is low too. I hope we find 'it' starting with Saturday and then going on a good run.
 
In my humble opinion the lack of effort by some players and the inaccuracy of passing by many players in the midfield and defence are causing problems. We are getting overrun midfield and Pellers should be looking to stiffen that area so the back four get protection. Sure injuries and new players haven't helped but the approach of "we'll score more goals than we concede" needs to be thrown out with the bathwater.

He knows whats missing he doesn't know why or isn't prepared to say why that is all.

He is integral to the fix up of attitude of the players otherwise as I and others have said on this forum before he will pay the price with this job as manager of this great club of ours.

He would prefer to get the full three years before he will replaced in anycase but the players on mass seem hell bent on ensuring that he doesn't get a third year and they should not only be ashamed of themselves if that occurs many of them should be shipped out to clubs that won't be challenging for honours while they finish their careers.

I don't need to name them all they know who they are.

Very very very few players in our squad can look themselves in the mirror and say they are doing justice to their privileged position at this club this season.

Time they all got some balls and started showing what they are capable of doing.

You just know it probably won't be at Loftus Road , it should be and we should sweep them away as they are most likely to drop straight back down but you just know that our primma donnas will do everything to make a simple task a difficult one.

Pellers being told to play the same formation?
Yaya being off colour?
Players waiting for Yaya to snap back into it?
Shite referreeing decisions against us?
A hangover from last season?
Prioritising CL games and getting stitched up every year?
Fans waiting and expecting to be entertained before singing?

I'm not sure, but something isn't right at City and I just hope its not player power behind the scenes again!!
