What is our realistic goal this season?

Big problem is Europa League, playing on a Thursday-Sunday will be tough. The sooner we are out of the Europa League the better chance of getting in The Champions League, then we can really start to punch our resources so long as UEFA do not stop us.

I'd like to say a cup as well.

Top four in the league.
I don't think we should set targets in cup competitions because it's luck of the draw. I wouldn't consider getting knocked out by a big side early on as failure.
 
For me any improvement on last season will be great. I also have a feeling (and i hope im right) that we will win a trophy this year. However I dont think it will be the Europa league. Im yet to be convinced Mancini has the European know how yet ie tactics etc. He struggled with Inter in champs league which ultimateley led to his departcher again hope im wrong but I suppose we will see.
 
In the thread tittle you say goal but in the op you say expectations? For me these are two different things.

Our expectation should be at least a top four finish with decent runs in all cups.

Our goal should be to win the league and nothing less than that.
