The only missing ingredient was a world class manager.

I hope that Mancini proves to be that (World class) - at least he has won a LOT in the last 9 years with 3 clubs - domestic championships , cups, good results in chumps league.

Just been listening to Steve Bruce stick his oar in. He didn't say anything particularly bad but he kept on about how "big clubs" are overlooking British managers and it isn't fair. I wasn't sure what he was getting at. Did anyone see it?

How many jobs has Bruce had in the last ten years? He should be the last person to criticise any club about loyalty.

If you think about Bruce, he's not as dead pan as Hughes was, he's really passionate and has turned it around at Sunderland, but, like Hughes, I'm certain if he was put in that situation, the one with big money, huge stakes, high expectation and relentless pressure, like Hughes, he would fall short.
