What Is Success This Season?

What is the minimum you expect from City this year? For me its

League - Win
Champions League - Out of group
FA Cup/Carling Cup - Quarter Final/Semi Final.
Community Shield - Win.
Don't like the expect bit tbh sounds a bit like them

agree. "hope for' would be my preference.

The Premier League would be good to have again minus the last minute drama.

Win prem by 10 points, CL qf at least, FA cup Final, League cup final and to win Charity shield! Not too much to ask surely?

This question never needs to be asked ever again because for every single season we have ahead of us we should be looking to challenge for the title, get as far as we can in the Chmapions Lg (the difference between getting knocked out in the quarters and winning it was about £8m for Chelsea, that's all!) and if we win a domestic cup comp then that's a bonus. That's it. Forever more.

We wont win the league every season. Some seasons we'll finish third. Some we'll challenge and just miss out. Some we'll win. United will continue to win titles, don't ever be so naive to think their success is over. There may be times we go two or three years without a trophy but there will be years where we win two or even three trophies in a season and we might be so good one year where we win the lot. We shouldn't ever flap if we have an off season (it will 100% happen, guaranteed!). We should stick with Mancini and dust ourselves down and go again the season after.

The only time we should be concerned is if we ever look like we wont finish in the top three or we go more than three years without a trophy.

That's it. Enjoy it. Being a City fan has always been great (even at our deepest depths I loved it) but now it's dream land.
This answer cannot be improved upon.

spot on matey

utopia is to win every game we play, obviously that is unlikely but should be aspired to

I want the league, last 8 of CL, at least semi from both domestic cups and a final in one, and win the community shield.

Not being greedy, then?

After the last minute drama of last season, any trophy would be a bonus.

However, I would love to see us in the knock-out stages of the Champions' League for the first time. And to quote Big Mal, it would be great if we could terrify Europe.

I hope can win the Premier League again. Anything else will be a bonus.

Nailed it in one.

I'm in no hurry to win trebles and quads. After 50 years of watching City I'm just enjoying the ride.
The league is the most important thing for me next year, just to prove that we've established ourselves.
We've still got this 'Europe' thing to master yet but I'd hate it to impact on winning the league.

(and because it pisses the rags off)

Just take it in our stride, still a relatively young team. Mancini and his ethics, training and his control of the club is the most important thing to continue.

A defence of our title and to progress in the champions league is top priority no doubt, but just continue as we finished last season.

Just happy to be along for the ride.

If we win all 5, they should drive past the swamp in an open top bus. Laughing. Whilst United parade their Manchester Senior Cup.
