What is the biggest City myth?

- Way before the 115 charges…. We bribed Mark Halsey in the play offs. Which can’t have been a myth because he celebrated with City fans in the hotel after.

- Martin Buster Phillips was a £10 million player

- Smoking isn’t allowed in the gents toilets

Talking with a couple of lads yesterday, not City fans and they were spouting the Usual City Bingo bollocks.

We have the biggest squad in the league.

We just sell anyone who has a poor first season.

We can just spend whatever we want to.

Cant fill our ground, no fans.

We just buy all our rivals best players.

Any other gems you have come across?
We all have trendy moustaches and wear ben shermans

As a City fan living in London.. when introduced to new colleagues/blokes in pubs..'so when did you start supporting City?'

I say 1988 was my first game and I've probably been to Highbury/WHL/Anfield/OT more than you.. shuts them up. But why is there a myth about City having 'new fans'?

It happens with all clubs who suddenly start being successful.

It used to be said about Chelsea fans until we turned up.

I know a guy from Dublin who will be about 40 now. So it was early to mid 90s when he was at the age when most people settle on a team.

He plumped for Blackburn and has been stuck with them ever since.

Worst bit of glory hunting ever.

Never forget that it's all driven by bitterness and jealousy.

If we finished 10th every year you wouldn't hear any of this.

I tend to just smugly grin at the morons who come out of this nonsense, safe in the knowledge that they'd trade places with me in a heartbeat.
