Not required reading but my favourite book is "IT" by Stephen King. Absolutely brilliant book by a still underrated author. The mini-series was decent but not a patch on the book. The man who did True detective is making a new 2 part movie of it soon. Another good one is "Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption" i must have read that 4 times. Everyone knows how good the film is but the novella is outstanding too.
