What is the point in bringing out the all flags/banners.....

...For the Stewards to pull them all up half way through the second half?!?

I was sat in a different seat on the 1st level in the Colin Bell Stand last night for the game and, before the game, all the flags and banners that were over-hanging the South Stand looked very good indeed.

However about half way through the first half the Stewards decided the pull all of the flags (to the right of the "Loud,Proud & Loyal" banner) up so they could not be seen.

Now i seriously doubt there were people in the Lower South Stand complaing that a bit of thread dangling from the flag was restricitng their view so whyyyyy do they do it? Apologies for the rant but it really pissed me off watching them do it last night, People have spent hundreds on flags to take with them to the game and put on show for nothing really!!!

I sit on the front row of south stand level 2 in 217 and the steward told us the fans below were complaining that the flags were blocking their view.

And if that is the case, why would we bother?

Why was the Loud, Proud & Loyal Banner allowed to stay and why were other flags around the ground allowed up? Ludicrous!!

I have a banner and was told by the steward that I would only have to pull up if someone complains below that it is blocking part of the view. many of those flags yesterday were over the 3 ft 6 suggested height and were clearly hanging below the roof line so someone below must have complained, there are no rules against blocking the CL stars.

There's one in front of me in S/S/2 that keeps blowing up and it's pissing a few people off now.

Just needs some weights to hold it down - be much better than the people who bring it keep having to grab it and push it back down throughout the match.

I stand at BB at the back of 117, Some of the flags do droop down too low..therefore restricted view. It's no big deal though...we are used to it. Problem last night though was there were a lot of 3rd tier people in the SS, they usually sit down and are not used to standing..or singing, clapping etc...and this was reflected in the atmos in the SS last night..the area usually allocated to away fans was very very quiet.
As a side issue...operation 1 end is bollocks and should only be used for FA cup games..otherwise atmos is shit.
