What is your christmas viewing

Where the heck are the Marx Brothers, Buster Keaton and Laurel and Hardy?

The TV guide is bigging up Mrs Brown's boys and numerous Alan Carr shows

Die Hard 2 is wonderful nonsense. Watched it for the first time in forever last Christmas and was struck by the power the tobacco lobby still yielded in 1990. Never mind the threat of terrorism, people are lighting up everywhere!
I watched Die Hard on Disney last week and despite all the swearing, drug taking and violence the only warning it got was a tobacco one.

Bad Santa
Die Hard
Home Alone (and Home Alone 2)
Catch Me if You Can
National Lampoon's
Planes trains and Automobiles
Uncle Buck
Very Murray Christmas
The Office UK Christmas Special
Father Ted Christmas Special

Not sure I'm going to have time to fit all these in...

I watched Catch Me If You Can just this week, for the first time since it came out. Looked him up after, and hadn't realised that it's come out more recently that it was pretty much all made up.

I guess the golden rule is 'once a conman...'

Do you have any good links for that mate? From what I've read of it, the main guy reckoned 80% of the film was accurate and most of the embellished parts related to his Dad (avoiding spoilers). So would be interested if that's since been discredited. Did have a Google but could only find reviews and behind the scenes stories etc.

It's on his wikipedia page. There's a huge section about all the various people who've looked into it. When pushed he's admitted a lot of it was exaggerated, but then still does a lot of talks where he says it's all true. Apparently he was in prison most of the time that it's supposed to have taken place

It sounds more like there's a tiny grain of truth to many of the elements, but they've been exaggerated to a ridiculous degree.

OK thanks I'll check it out, from what I'd seen online he's sticking to a lot of it being true, but if people have looked into it they're more likely to be credible than him, given his track record!
