The staler a biscuit becomes, the softer it gets. Cakes on the other hand get harder. The Jaffa cake is a cake, in fact there was a recent court case about it. Something to do with there not being tax on cake but there is on biscuits.
The taxman took them to court and they proved to a judge that a Jaffa cake is indeed a cake.

Those rich tea buscuits coated in chocolate that McVities have started doing are simply awesome.

I agree, with the name cake in their names it makes perfect sense, but, why do all supermarkets sell them in the buscuit section!! blatent false advertising!!!

I think the jury is still out on this one!!
