What is your favourite hymn?

Was dreaming about this last night.

Excruciating and execrable memories of Morning Has Broken etc probably from primary school, cubs or scouts visits to church has no doubt contributed to putting me off Christianity for life.
Hark the Herald Angels Sing was always ok though and Onward Christian Soldiers was decent, and (despite reminding me of Ricky Villa etc), When a Knight Won His Spurs I remember with a bit of fondness for some reason.

We’ve got Urban Hymns of course, and Hymn To Her by The Pretenders, but I’m probably gonna go with Moby. As you do.

The Angel Gabriel from Heaven Came

Can only really be sung in Advent, but when sung by a proper choir it is beautiful.

Jerusalem is good, but I'm told it's heretical and not strictly a hymn at all.

Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring. Again, it needs a choir, and I mean a good choir.

Not only is Jerusalem not really a hymn but some interpretations have it as a sexual allegory.

Cwm Rhondda is a great tune written about 1907 by…er…oh, John Hughes.
Several versions of the lyrics are extant in both languages.
