What is your favourite Sit Com?

Someone sent me a clip of that recently.....
They'd be riots in the streets if that was on now.
The worst thing about it (looking back) is being at a school with 1,500 pupils of which around 15 were non white, we all used thise names the next day on the playground....
And yet like Alf Garnett it was actually showing up the white man as the racist and bigot, but it’s twisted to say it’s racist and having a go at the black man but for me when you rewatch it the black neighbour is showing up the stupid white man.

Father Ted
Fawlty Towers
The League Of Gentlemen
Steptoe And Son
Phoenix Nights
Allo Allo
Bottom
Only Fools And Horses
Dads Army
Black Adder
Rising damp
Keeping up Appearances
Red Dwarf
Blackadder
Nearest And Dearest
All of these, bar Father Ted, Keeping up Appearances, Red Dwarf and Nearest and Dearest....I'm too young for the last one.

I'll chuck in Stella Street, which borders on sitcom/spoof soap opera

We had double bubble when Marigold was his lodger.

An old housemate had never seen The League Of Gentlemen before so we watched the first episode together back in early 2000s. He’d grown up in rural Scotland and roared with laughter all the way through it.

I understand you need to be Scottish to truly appreciate Rab C Nesbitt too.

Rising Damp. Sublime writing and just wonderful, wonderful acting. Of its time, true, but the lines and timing are incomparable.

Yes Minister and Yes Prime Minister, too.

Just starting watching this through adult eyes, absolutely marvellous

The casting was impeccable.

Leonard Rossiter obviously steals the show - it’s hard to think of anyone playing a better role in a sitcom - but the other actors were brilliant matches for their characters, not least for Miss Jones.
