Do we cheer or don't we ?? Well IMO I say cheer if he comes back and puts that famous blue shirt on and carries on scoring ! The captain should be leading by example and show the utmost respect for the club, his colleagues and the fans.

I cant believe whats happening. I was working a night shift last night and got back in at 5am and after being in a great mood all night after city being joint top, I thought I would revel in citys win and go on bluemoon only to be come across this sad news. Eerytime we get somewhere there is always a bombshell around the corner. He is going to be missed no doubt about it and the knock on effect could be detremental to the club and us challenging for 4th. We are flying at the minute but there is always an obstacal in the way with city. GUTTED.

Anyway I remember a certain Kinkladze about to leave city until us city fans gathered together at the last game at Maine Road one season and we signed a petition which worked wonders in keeping Gio. Could we do the same with Tevez, im clutching at straws here I know. The game has obviously changed from then

remember as the club and some ITK's have stated.... a lot of this comes from his agent...!

yes tev has his own mind (and should probably learn to use it a bit more!) but kia has his own agenda (to make as much money as possible)

support the player till he is no longer a city player...we gain NOTHING by abusing him!...we have everything to gain by supporting him as much as possible....

of course he knew it was going in....he would have had to sign the request!

and it not me that is shifting the balme tot he agent....its in the offical club statement for all to see.

Im of the opinion that there are 3 parties that are responsible for this.....tev, his agent (money) and RM (and the poor relationship between him and tev)

This. I'll be more upset if Vincent Kompany is not wearing the captains armband, to be honest.

I'm really not sure if he can stay captain or not. Will he expect to keep it? Kompany probably should have got it in the first place tbh, but will it inflame the situation further if it taken off Tevez?

He's handed in a transfer request and so forfeits any rights he has to the captains armband. What does it say to the rest of the players that are trying to take the club to a trophy or two this season if this guy stays as captain now?

Personally, I hope he will not get any stick from the fans. As long as he continues to treat the paying fans with a degree of respect and keeps up his level of effort on the pitch then we should try to persuade him as vocally as possible that City is the right place for him.

This is altogether different from the stick Barton got against Newcastle when he turned down his contract offer. As we all know City stood by Barton time and time again and it was thrown back in our faces when he dug his heals in for more money.

Carlos has led by example and has given 100% every time he steps out for us, he is still the talisman for the team and hopefully he will see that he has been given bad advice by the rodent who represents him. That will be easier for him to do if we do not become his enemy. I do not believe his real issue is with the club or the supporters. Even if it is about more money he has earned that right to ask for more, even if he is going about it in completely the wrong way.

We aint rags - we support him like all the other players that start - 3 points is more important than anything else especially against Neverton and yes i am sure he will play.

Jan window is coming up an opportunity for us to buy another striker and give us some options.
