Hi, I am exiled in South China and I am involved with www.hubhao.com and their social media, like facebook etc (feel free to like and support a fellow blue). I do some writing online and in their magazine.

What I am looking at is what really makes an interesting and engaging website aimed at expats? I'm looking for inspiration and ideas to do something different. What can I do to widen my portfolio? Any advice on writing?

I'm likely going to be reporting on City's preseason tour in China in the national press, in English but I want something more challenging.
