To be fair I love the English pomp of it. I thought they were all English to be honest, but in general I just find it a really good watch.

can you tell me why you thought Giacomo Puccini , Gabriel Faume' and Camille Saint-Saens were English as they all featured tonight? Even Henri Mancini was American.

Have a listen to Classic FM and BBCR3 in the car - I often do - sometimes I know the tune but have no idea what it is but can still enjoy it

It was good - no great - just avoid falling into the trap that this is all English patriotism to like Carmen etc - good music is good music

this one ? Eric who died this year was from the USA (Bizet, a Frenchman, wrote the the other Carmen)
