What manager would we go for?

Pep Guardiola
Gus Hiddinck
Arsene Wenger
Capello

Guardiola - A wild gamble seeing as he has no experience outside his Catalan cocoon.

Hiddink - He seems too happy to hop from one international job to the next, and hasn't exactly been a roaring success in those.

Arsene Wenger - Great manager, no chance of getting him.

Capello - The same manager who's struggling to get the best out of English players, including some of City's?

To be fair... Barry, Johnson and Lescott look far better for England than they do for City...

What about me? I have managed a sunday league team all the way to league winners and cup runners up! (albeit 12 years ago!) I would bring a good assistant with me, and would sack platt on the day of my appointment. What do you reckon peeps, shall i start doing my badges?

I've heard it all now. Roberto Mancini to Nigel Clough. Inter Milan via Burton Albion. Not being big headed but the days we appoint managers from the Championship are long over. I'm sure Balotelli and Yaya would just love working with Nigel Clough. We have a squad full of egotistic galacticos, and those galacticos will only play under a big-named manager. Why do you think Balotelli came here in the first place? Yes, BM isn't doing anything amazing right now, and I too am disheartened right now to say the least, but throwing names like Nigel Clough into the mix?!!!

Its possible I just fell for an almighty Clarkie, of course!

Mate thats ignorance at its best.

Like iv said before Mancini wont get the sack and i deffinately dont want him too either.

But just to dismiss Clough out of hand like that is a bit cockey and arrogant pal. Hes done a great job at Burton albion and has done a shit hot job at Derby with no money.

Every manager has to start somewhere and who is to say that he wont be the next best manager in the world? We dont know yet how he will turn out but just because he isnt in a top job at the moment doesnt mean hes a shit manager.

I mean some people on here still wanna wank sven off every hour of the day and he was at Notts County and now at Leicester?

Why talk about replacing Mancini when we were unlucky and had two players coming back from longterm injuries. ffs people we were known for getting behind our team yet we sound more like Liverpool fans than Man City fans.
Come on guys Chelsea will drop points as will Man Utd and Arsenals injuries will always have an effect. Lets stop bitching and get behind the team lets make the CTID really mean something.

Certainly not arrogant mate, I like you have seen shite at this club, and am always prepared to give a bloke a chance, however we aren't that type of club anymore and the simple reason for that is because of the calibre of players we have. Its almost like we are on par with Madrid where it comes to the type of player we have in the squad, and players like that tend only to work with big name managers. If we were still under Thaksin at the start where we had money, but not bags of it, then yes give the up and coming managers a chance, but we aren't.

A manager who understands how the feet move and who is admired by all his staff.

It's obvious surely.

Failing that, Basil Fawlty. He'd get the best out of Silva and Boateng: he's worked with a little Spanish guy before and he's great with Germans.

This forum beggars belief after a bad result/performance. Let's bin the owners too and replace them with Hicks/Gillette.
