What one event would have made the Glorious 13th even better

..if my at the time six year old had not whispered "daddy I REALLY need a wee" just as we were getting ready to lift the trophy.....

we ran inside the desolate concourse, ran to the loo, he peed, we ran back up the nearest steps just as vince lifted it and the fireworks went off....

I saw it after all this time but didn't see it with my elsdest as he was up in the seats....and I had pee on my leg.

It was so surreal that even now i have to remind myself it actually happened!

I remember pacing up and down my emotions and head in bits wondering how we had got ourselves in this mess and thinking we were fucked.Be honest we never looked like scoring ONE never mind TWO for all our possesion and efforts.

When we did it was utter, utter relief and a joy i have not felt in 44 years of watching the Blues. It was only in the days after the match, when we saw all the video's and footage of the rags that it became all the sweeter. We can revel in it now but i still wish we would have been four up at half time and sang and celebrated all game, that to me would have bettered it,as for almost 94 minutes it was torture!

Nah the best part about winning was that nobody expected us to win, it's always more enjoyable to grab a winner in the last minute than be certain of victory imo

I'd have liked Bert Trautmann to be at the match and on the field for the presentation. The club fucked up getting him to Wembley in 2011, wish he'd been there for the title.

hi, i was at a sportsmans dinner recently and Fred Eyre was speaking, I asked him how he celebrated Sergios goal. he said that he had to rush back to one of the lounges for the guests, he cut through a box that was in darkness to get to the function room and saw a man sat there on his own. it was Bert Trautmann, so instead of going back to the lounge he sat with Bert and watched the celebrations together. Fred seemed really pleased about it as he was one of his heroes.

It was perfect and in years to come everyone will remember sergio's name but very few will be able to name a utd player who scored to give their team a title and that will haunt them

I agree it was perfect, and there were so many parallels to 1968, when we had to win a tough game away at Newcastle and we did, and they had to win an easy game at home to Sunderland and they didn't.

if my internet feed hadn't gone down as the commentator said,'only three minutes of normal time remaining' i was crying cos i was convinced we'd lost and i wouldn't believe our kid when he phoned. still wonderful day
