Crystal Palace being my last away of the season, I decided to make a weekend of it and bring wifey, stay in a reasonable hotel, and a nice meal out tonight. So we're at reception checking in, the charming young lady tells me that my room rate doesn't include breakfast, but that breakfast is available in the restaurant between 7.30 am and 10.30 am priced at £15 for continental and £20 for cooked breakfast. Twenty fucking quid for breakfast, what the fuck do you get for that?

Fortunately, spotted a Wetherspoons on the way in which is looking favourite for tomorrow morning.

I stop in a place in Germany the year before last they wanted 40 euros each for breakfast, nice coffee shop over the road about 5 euros each

every town have a greasy spoon and London have the most and £5 should cover it

you can buy a great breakfast just about anywhere in the states for $10.00 and normally walk out with leftovers

I remember when you could get 5 items for 99p at woolworths

To be fair, the US is abnormal in that regard. They can't do it any cheaper, so, to outdo the competition, they feel obliged to pile on the portions. Obesity levels are terrifying over there and yet the diners continue to dole out the cholesterol. They even make origami sculptures out of the doggy bags, for jaysus sakes.
Saddest thing is that carrying out the doggy bag is about the only exercise some of the fattest f**kers get.

(Not you, Idaho. I'm sure you're ripped like Brad Pitt).
