our kid was a mod late 70s early 80s, 5 years older than me so i tryied to copy although i was only a kid.

Been to a few gigs recently The Stranglers were particulary brilliant playing all their great hits!
The Damned also.
Funny really going to these gigs meeting old mates who are now bank managers lawyers etc who never forgot their musical roots!

I was a raver/into clubbing and all that in the mid to late 90s. Used to go to the Hac/Sankeys/Spiritus/The Phoenix/Gatecrasher/Cream/Garlands - them sort of places. Spent most of my holidays clubbing in Ibiza, which I used to think was fookin great. I haven't been into any of that stuff for years now though. I've ended up getting back into the old punk/post-punk/hardcore that I was into before the house bug bit - having to buy all the old records again as i thought it was a smart plan to get rid of em all in a fit of misguided house-purist calamity. Ah well - at least you get to rediscover it all for fresh again, I suppose
