what the everton fans say

Don't create any sort of atmosphere slating scousers or anything like that and you'll have a very placid home crowd.

Not sure about not creating an atmosphere but certainly not goading the everton fans or rubbing it in their faces should we start to get the upper hand. As you say the crowd could be pretty placid but if we piss them off that could change, which wouldn't work to our benefit

Yeah that's what I mean, especially as there are a lot of older fans in the park end and a lot of the older fans are the ones who remember what it's like seeing liverpool successful.

If city lead, a few anti liverpool songs/Gerrard songs will have a lot of the park end getting cigars out.

What about those lower Gladys fuckers?

This 'fan panel' compiled by the M.E.N. suggests they want a win regardless of LFCs situation

What they'll say when it's published in a newspaper (especially when you're talking to reps of supporters clubs) and what they'll say in private are different though.

The way I see it is that in the heat of the moment, they will hope for a win but if they lose, nobody is going to be heartbroken. Have you ever tried willfully wanting City to lose. Could you do it? I couldn't. Not even against Leeds that time.

Very true. I'm just praying for a City win regardless of what the Everton fans think. If they get on the back of their own players, then that helps us out psychologically at least.

It has just occured to me that the non-twat Martinez helped to trash last season for us and should not be permitted to do so again.

Moyes used to spend the days leading up to this game moaning about our money, the way we do transfer business and anything else he could think of to stir the fans up. Martinez has more class and he has probably already exceeded expectations for this season. I can't wait for the whole ground to sing 'Come on City' and 'Bluemoon'. The look on any red dippers face listening to it would be priceless.
