I think your right about Martinez and the players playing to win the game because most of this rivalry stuff comes from the fans and not the players, I'd even stick my neck out and say a lot of the Liverpool and Everton player are mates out of work.

What could be good for us is the fans not giving a shit, if we are 1 or 2 up it will be a big difference between 30000 fans screaming the team on or 30000 fans just enjoying there last home singing insults at Liverpool.

this Everton away game reminds me so much of the Newcastle away game at the end of out title winning season.

A potential banana skin of an away game, which i was very nervous about knowing that we HAD to win it knowing that we "only" had QPR at home in the last game......a gimme 3 points i thought!

i feel just as nervous this week but more confident this time around that our boys will turn up and get the result we need.
When we win this weekend then surely, surely in this season of all crazy seasons, we wont mess it up against Villa and the Hammers??!!!???!!???

If we play to our collective abilities, then we should be good enough, but there will be no quarter given.
Although I daresay the rags and half the media will say that the Toffees rolled over if we do win convincingly.

So most rags you know would prefer us to win the title than Liverpool?
I don't know one rag who thinks like that.
I doubt many on here would rather the rags won the title than Liverpool if the tables were turned, but it's a funny old world.
