Alot depends on the result tonight, if Newcastle get a draw at Arsenal then 4th place is still possible and gives us a reason to go out and win Saturday.

Arsenal win tonight and it's over, the atmopshere will reflect that Saturday, Martinez wont risk a the players carrying knocks (Baines, Jagielka) and the majority of us will want you to steam roll us 5-0. If you log onto grandoldteam you'll find 90% of blues are of the same mentality. We still haven't heard the last about Istanbul from that shower over the park so them winning the league is the last thing we need

I didnt realise the hate for liverpool was so strong...brilliant.

Been to a few Everton v Pool derbies and the over riding feeling was of the pure hate between the two supporters and to be honest i have never ever such an atmosphere.

The jolly friendly derby that Micky Quinn and others portray in the media is as far away from the truth as it can be

I can't imagine the horror of watching City play knowing that a draw or win would gift the rags the title.
It is simply too horrific to contemplate.

Didn't that happen the year Blackburn won the premier league. My memory is a bit fuzzy but i think we did what the rags needed us to do but they lost and then the league went to Blackburn.

I can understand you wanting us to win to stop the red dippers. But why 5-0 rather than the bare minimum for 3 points?

Maybe abit far, id take 3-0 just to boost your goal difference further. The way Newcastle are playing I wouldnt put it past Liverpool to score 5 or 6 against them last game.

I've never wanted us to lose a game in my life but Saturday I do, it's going to be a strange one.

Evertonians have taken plenty of stick from our neighbours over the years, some well out of line (Prime example being the banner in the news report below). They wont be getting any favours from us

Didn't we have some City fans cheering on Villa against us for some reason. I seem to remember a nutter running onto the pitch at Villa Park when Villa scored. Sure I didn't dream it but I am getting on a bit lol

Villa away when they were going for it. We lost 3 1 or something. Had permission to carry a banner around to the holte wishing them good luck. At the pfa awards came out before the game Keith Curle had said he'd give away a penalty if villa weren't winning. He did too...

I was in the Family Stand when Big Dunc thundered in a bullet of a header. Schmeichel ne'er saw it. He might have felt the gale passin' but he didn't register the ball goin' in. There was a Rag in front of me, and I couldn't resist showin' him me Maine Road watch! Great night.
