What time is it?

I remain convinced we have left whatever it is, too late in the day.

Dzeko was always to be our primary business.

However, there are people who insist otherwise, people I can't dismiss.

To expand the debate, maybe to reinforce my own view, Robinho is the only recent transfer I can recall where a name was not on the radar, been drawn out, prior to completion.

In analysis, a purchase would have to be on a certain level to have kept 'both ends' water tight.

Unless it is a rapidly developing situation or an opportunity.

I may have missed something tolmies but I take it this , signing that would show the world our power isn't imminent anymore

Not a criticism by the way just wanting to know

I seem to recall clues such as " this time it's for real , which suggested it was someone we had went for before and you also clarified that it was separate from dzeko

So is that one a non runner now ?

No probs, mate.

There was clarification at the time. Dzeko was the name mentioned to Tevez, the show of power was shared interest in him and Luiz from Chelsea...

This time I know it's for real, the Dzeko negotiations, and, the initial interest of Real in Ade.

Albeit, I was led to believe afterwards he was going to Monaco!

I am completely in dark what this last minute messing about may be.

Obviously not a definitive statement but... (from Twitter)

Word from MCFC is they are finished recruiting for this window but could still have players leaving, mostly on loan then review in summer.
As stated though, if we're looking to push something through last minute, we would in all likelihood try to keep it under wraps.

Come on tolmie, giz a name. SSN has just had Manchini on and he reckons were done.

Not sure that's what he said, mate?

Was based on retaining Shaun and keep squad numbers up above 20.

Two weeks ago...he said we were done...last week we were not...today, we might be...

I will try to enjoy deadline day, especially if Shaun thing with Bolton develops further.

Alves Agent: No English offers for Alves
<a class="postlink" href="http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11668_6706617,00.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528, ... 17,00.html</a>

Dani Alves' agent insists there have no been approaches from Premier League clubs for his client.

The Barcelona defender is reported to have attracted interest from England, with Chelsea and Manchester City strongly linked with a move.

With the Brazilian's contract at Camp Nou set to expire in 2012, and with extension talks having stalled, it has been suggested that Barca could look to cash in.

It was understood that if a deal was to be done, then Alves would be on his way to the Premier League.

That may still prove to be the case, but for now the 27-year-old's representative claims no discussions have been held.

"No English clubs have contacted me to present an offer," Joaquin Macanas told Sport.

"Reports of interest from Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City are not true."

PMSL - welcome back TH

What Mancini said today was he would let SWP go but the squad is too thin so he would need a replacement. This sounds very much like what Tolmie is saying with regards to balancing out the squad a bit.

Makes sence. I don't think it would be a huge signing to replace SWP, Personally I'd go for Kranjcar, hes available and would be good to have on the bench.

It can only be Alves if SWP goes. Our options for width would be much depleted if AJ and SWP were out. I reckon SWP is holding out for Bolton for family reasons but a move for such a profile player such as Alves may take longer than a few days unless something is already on the table....then again Assulin may come good very quickly.

mmmmm

let me think.......
